Scarlett, I use and have had BOTH accounts banned for it, it seems. Trying to get a stance too via Support. Doesn't look good though.

You had your account banned for using multi-launch? I would hardly consider that to be a bot.

Awesome!

Except 5 seconds after I went to Kamadan I just saw another spam bot (and no Dhuum pop up).

Edit: Multi-launch is a 3rd party program

Good riddance. You don't need to use a bot to raptor farm like you were doing, because the grind in PvE is not required. Honestly, I'm annoyed with a lot of Anet's shenanigans regarding both GW1 AND GW2. Yet I fail how anyone would take a position in favor of someone who clearly went against the EULA... maybe you should have read it, huh?

Those who cheated were punished...finally, clear and simple. You knew you were cheating and taking this risk, if you didn't then you're a moron. Suck it up.

Anet has done a good job on this despite all my criticism of them. I especially like the inventive programming they did with Dhuum in this instance, they still have a sense of humor. Take my compliment now Anet, cause I'll be up in arms against you again starting tomorrow for some unrelated reason.

So riddle me this, please, an official stance if you would, I use multi launch on occasion to do some account transfers, and I have considered using the drunkard bot to use up all of these stacks of booze for my title, will I be banned for these actions?

How do you judge inappropriate, by asking those who were banned? Do you believe what all people from the internet tell you? Computer records or someone from the internet, I'll take the records.

And I'll take the word of my good friends who wouldn't have a reason to lie about something so trivial.

Doubt is the easiest thing to instill into another person, even without a suggestive word towards it, one can instill doubt, excessive reassurance can even instill doubt. Don't be a sheeple and doubt this young man unless you know facts about him.

Thanks for slaying the bots. I for one do not want to be assimilated by the Borg.

Are the following still allowed?

KSMod
TexMod
Multi-Launch, or other methods of running multiple clients
Macros that are not automated
I understand that defining the line between a macro and a "bot" is rather hard to do. Example: Press "CTRL num7" to execute skill # 3 on all hero skill bars. edit: Third party software allows custom hotkeys not available in the control options menu.

Thank you.

Incidentally, I have all of those installed and my account is not banned.

EDIT: Questions answered ...

If those programs are modified (and maybe you won't even know about it), we make no guarantees as to whether this could incur account termination. As James said in his post, if you're in doubt, just don't use it.

Yet.... And you never will know if you will be, because they have yet to give a stance on it.

Yes, if you read all that I said, it SEEMS that way. Hence why I'm trying to find out from Support exactly what has happened. And yes, you can only take at face value whether I'm lying or not, hence why I didn't bother putting in something like "I don't bot..".

3. Other people worked to fill their HoM's the honest way. Or are you the narcissist who thinks you deserve to get it filled the easy way where others don't?

4. People who botted like you consciously broke the rules. Get over it or go away. You're at fault, not Anet or anyone else. Anet finally did what they should have been doing.

I hate to rain on your parade, but this really does absolutely NOTHING against the worst offenders. A hardcore botter can make enough ecto to buy 10 completely clean-slate accounts before his account is even looked at. Couple this with the fact that you can run 10+ bots on one computer, and you are fighting a battle that is impossible to win.

In reality, what these bans do is lose thousands of dedicated players. I'm not justifying botting in anyway, but this is like throwing jaywalkers in prison while there are murderers out there getting off scotch free. The example you gave of banning someone's obviously main account with 3000+ hours clearly shows that this is just a public relations stunt. He botted, and profited, but he is a jaywalker, and the negative impact he has on the economy and community is a drop in the bucket compared to the the murderers that are making big bucks off of botting.
